JURGEN KLOPP is considering recalling Lazar Markovic from his loan spell at Fenerbahce in January.
The Serbian winger joined the Turkish giants on a season-long loan this summer but Klopp could bring him back early, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds have the option to terminate Markovic's time in Turkey when the transfer window reopens.
Lazar Markovic could return to Liverpool in January |
Klopp is thought to be a keen admirer of the 21-year-old and with injuries to Danny Ings and Joe Gomez earlier this month the German is in need of attacking options.
Markovic completed a £20million move from Benfica in 2014 but endured a frustrating first season on Merseyside, scoring three goals in 23 starts in all competitions.
The Serbia international has impressed so far at the Turkish outfit, but a back injury saw him sidelined for three weeks before making his return in their 1-0 victory over Kayserisport last weekend.
Fenerbahce don't have the option to buy Markovic at the end of his loan.
Klopp's next game in charge sees the Reds take on Rubin Kuzan at Anfield in the Europa League on Thursday.
