Destiny's next expansion from Bungie has been revealed |
DESTINY'S next expansion from Bungie has been uncovered, whiles fans have discovered the next secret weapon in The Taken King.
Details covering Destiny's next expansion have been revealed and is set to be developed in tandem with Activision subsidiary High Moon Studios, according to new reports.
It all stems from the eventual development of the game's Taken King expansion, which was rebooted last year and saw a mass remodeling of content.
Some of the ideas that never made it into the final product are set to be part of a new expansion pack, similar in size to The Taken King, which will launch later in 2016.
The Taken King is littered with secrets for fans to find |
It's worth noting that looking back on Destiny's own production, the idea that all these details will make it into the next round of DLC is questionable.
According to sources that have spoken to Kotaku, Destiny's next expansion will include a new public space on Mars, as well as new Strikes based around the planet and a new Raid.
These ideas were apparently cut from earlier DLC content and are now developed by High Moon Studios, who are working together with Bungie on the project.

Destiny mission steps:
- Pledge allegiance to Future War Cult and build reputation by heading to Venus and taking down a Taken Minotaur which will supply you with the simulation core that will need to shatter.
- Doing this will unlock a new quest from Lakshmi-2 at the Tower, where you will have to revisit the Vault of Glass and kill Atheon.
- Destroying him supplies you with an Eye that also needs to shatter. Lakshmi-2 will give you another quest where you have to head to Earth and enter the Shadow at Twilight, alone.
- The recommended light level is 270 and players will need to collect a chest that spawns randomly and also be prepared to keep the boss's anger up while fighting multiple opponents.
- This will unlock the final quest called Blood of the Garden on Mars.
- This has a recommended light level of 290 and includes a lot of Minotaurs.
