Manchester United and City target Nicolas Otamendi is reportedly close to leaving Valencia.
According to AS, the 27-year-old defender was absent from training on Thursday because he wasn’t in the right frame of mind.
While Real Madrid are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Arsenal and Chelsea target William Carvalho.
New Real boss Rafa Benitez is said to have instructed B officials to increase their efforts to sign Carvalho as he looks to reinforce his midfield, AS report.
Sporting have valued the Portugal international at €45million (£32m) but do expect to lose him and have already sought replacements in the form of Bruno Paulista and Alberto Aquilani.
And Italian sports journalist Emanuele Giulianelli claims Arsenal have made a £45million bid to sign Karim Benzema that Real Madrid are thought to be considering the offer.
“Benzema deal is on: best offer is from Arsenal, £45mln. They will take a decision soon. He wants to reach Wenger,” Giulianelli wrote on Twitter.
Arsenal have reportedly made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang their first-choice alternative if a deal for Benzema falls through.
