Darmian - Looked back to his form when he first arrived at United. Prevent Oscar from having an influence on the match - 7
Smalling - Rose to the occasion by dealing well with Diego Costa's histrionics. A leader in defence for United - 7
Blind - Formed a solid partnership with Smalling but was perhaps fortunate not to give away a penalty in the first half - 6
Borthwick-Jackson - Luke Shaw who? The young left-back is getting better with every game and today he was terrific going forward to support Martial and push Willian back - 8
Fellaini - Not able to stamp his authority on the match, taken off for Schneiderlin in the second half - 5
Carrick - Bossed the midfield as United took charge of the match but was missing in the closing stages as Chelsea took over - 6
Lingard - An outstanding turn and finish by the young Englishman to give United the lead in what a quiet display - 7
Mata - The former Chelsea midfielder was not at his best today, well marshalled by Azpilicueta - 6
Martial - His pace was a constant problem for Ivanovic, belying his young age with a menacing display - 7
Rooney - Continued his excellent recent form today, leading the line for United well - 6
