GERARD PIQUE has backed against his former club Manchester United for Premier League glory in favour of shock leaders Leicester.

Ex-Man Utd defender and Champions League winner backs this side for Premier League title
Gerard Pique won the treble with Barcelona last season

The Barcelona star is confident the surprise package in England's top flight can now win the title race, having downed Pique's old rivals Manchester City.
Claudio Ranieri's Foxes saw off City at the Etihad on Saturday and their 3-1 win extended Leicester's lead at the top to five points with 13 games to go.
Tottenham moved into second ahead of Manuel Pellegrini's men, while third-placed Arsenal maintained their charge back towards the summit with a 2-0 triumph at Bournemouth.
La Liga's title race is more unlikely to go down to the wire compared to the Premier League's, and Spaniard Pique believes it would be great for English football if the Foxes lifted the trophy come May.
United are a long way off the pace in fifth, but manager Louis van Gaal has remained confident his side can overcome their dissapointing results to mount a serious pursuit of the top.

Pique spent four years on the books at Old Trafford, having made his debut for the club under Sir Alex Ferguson at the age of 17.
The Spain international's time in Manchester was difficult as he struggled to establish himself as a major part of the first team.
However, he did earn a Premier League winners medal in the 2007/08 season and won the Champions League before departing for Barcelona where he's since become one of the best defenders in world football.
