MESUT OZIL is being monitored intensely at Arsenal with concern surrounding his fitness.

Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil has training changed to cope with foot injury amid crucial schedule
Mesut Ozil is the only Arsenal player to have played in every one of their Champions League matches

According to the Daily Mail, the German playmaker has been nursing a foot injury since the start of the year.
And with Arsenal chasing the Premier League title and approaching a Champions League tie with Barcelona, they need Ozil at his best.
The midfielder has failed to register an assist in 2016, and was forced into sitting out the Gunners’ game with Stoke in January as a result of his problem.

Prior to missing that match, Ozil had started every Premier League game since the end of August.
However, with his injury persisting and causing pain, Ozil’s training schedule at the Emirates has been altered in a bid to keep him available for each crucial game of their run in.
The hope is that the Germany international won’t make the problem worse shortly before matches as aggravating the problem is top of the medical staff’s concerns.

Arsenal face in-form Bournemouth at Dean Court on Sunday followed by league leaders Leicester at home next weekend.
Ozil’s importance in a busy February continues with the FA Cup fifth round coming prior to Barcelona, before a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United ends the month.
If he’s forced onto the treatment table in a more permanent sense, the Gunners season will seriously suffer, especially with their current injury problems throughout the squad.
