PAUL MERSON says Arsenal are not prepared for an injury crisis and risk ruining their Premier League title challenge.

But former Gunners star Merson says Arsenal's failure to add to their forward line this winter could come back to haunt them.
“They didn’t do enough,” Merson told Sky Sports when discussing the transfer window, which closed yesterday.
 
“Mohamed Elneny is nowhere near enough.
"They definitely needed a defensive midfield player, but also a forward.
“If Olivier Giroud gets injured then can Theo Walcott come in and score enough goals in the last 15 games?”
 
Walcott, 26, boasts just five goals for the season and has netted just once in his last 15 games.
Giroud, meanwhile, has bagged 18 goals for the campaign.
The France international is expected to start against Southampton at the Emirates Stadium this evening.
