Manchester United are reportedly plotting a move for Chelsea star Eden Hazard.

United are apparently eyeing the Blues winger after being told they have no chance of landing Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale.

The Daily Star report United's owners the Glazer family have given executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward the go-ahead to try and land £65million-rated Hazard on a deal worth £250,000-a-week.

A United source said: "Eden Hazard is certainly one of those and the type of player United need if they want to start winning trophies again."

Chelsea are planning to move for Arsenal ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain if they lose Hazard, according to reports.

The Sun claim the Blues are still tracking Oxlade-Chamberlain, who emerged as a target under old boss Jose Mourinho.

But when asked if claims the England international could leave were rubbish, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger said: "Yes."
