NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest transfer news from across the Premier League.
Chelsea have entered the race to sign Granit Xhaka, according to reports.
Arsenal and Liverpool have both expressed an interest, with the latter thought to have submitted a £37.6million bid as Jurgen Klopp is desperate to add some bodies to his injury-ravaged squad.
But German paper Bild claim Chelsea are also showing an interest in the player who is contracted with Borussia Monchengladbach until 2019.
But Monchengladbach’s sporting director Max Eberl isn’t sure whether Xhaka will leave as he said: “As of today we are glad that he is with us and hope that he stays for a long time.
"There's no number [a price threshold] for me."
Real Madrid’s ‘absolute priority’ should be to sign David de Gea.
The Manchester United shot-stopper has been continually linked with a move to the La Liga giants and saw a move to the Bernabeu collapse last summer.
Real are also monitoring Chelsea star Eden Hazard very closely, but La Liga expert Guillem Balague thinks De Gea is their main target.
“Real Madrid are open to the idea and Zinedine Zidane likes him, but it really depends on how much money they have available and if other players are sold or not,” Balague told Sky Sports.
“Hazard would not be an absolute priority in the same way that De Gea and Lewandowski would be.”
Liverpool are interested in signing Javier Hernandez, according to reports.
The former Manchester United striker has revitalised his career since joining Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
And according to Spanish publication Don Balon, Liverpool face competition for his signature with Arsenal and Tottenham also chasing his signature,
Hernandez has netted seven goals in his last five appearances for Bayer.
