Borussia Monchengladbach director of sport Max Eberl admits Granit Xhaka could leave the club if they received a tempting offer.
The Swiss international is reportedly on the radar of Arsenal and Liverpool but could cost around £37.6million.
"There are always situations where every club has to think of each option," Eberl told German television station WDR.
"It [a possible sale of Xhaka] depends partly on our sporting success. It depends on the performances of Granit and of course on the price.
"As of today we are glad that he is with us and hope that he stays for a long time.
"There's no number [a price threshold] for me."

Guus Hiddink has called on Chelsea to step up their efforts to sign players as they remain rooted in the bottom half of the table following a 3-3 draw with Everton.
When asked if Chelsea need to move quickly in the market, Hiddink replied: "Yes.
"[But] for moment we are doing nothing.
"We hope Diego is coming out of the hospital in good health and we go on as we are doing now.
"He was in a lot of pain but as soon as we know the report we will put it up.
"I always have the attitude that when something has to be done, yes or no, we don’t go go public before we do something.
"It’s not wise to talk but we are not in negotiations with whoever at this moment."
