MAURICIO POCHETTINO reckons Tottenham deserve to be described as genuine title contenders if they can keep their form going throughout January and February.
The North London side are just four points off the top going into their first 2016 match at Everton tomorrow.
They have won three games on the spin to make the prospect of a first league title since 1961 a realistic one.
"I think we need to arrive in the last ten games with the possibility to fight for the objectives,” said Pochettino.
“In the next nine, 10 games we will maybe make the mark on how we finish on the table.
“Am I confident? Yes, because I think we are very quiet.
“The good thing is we don’t speak too much but we work very hard and I think it is most important how we behave inside, so that we can speak outside.
“Because football is about winning games and to win games and to be close to winning games, you need to work hard and to show better quality than the opponent.
“We believe in ourselves. We are very confident and in football a lot can happen. We believe. The only way we can not achieve all that we can in football is if we stop working hard.
“It is always a challenge to try to improve every day because if you stop improving you start to go backwards.
“How? This is a good question, it’s our quality and our creativity and this is because we work everyday it’s our motivation every day to try to improve and develop new ideas.”
