SWANSEA have confirmed their interest in Everton forward Steven Naismith.

The Scotland international is expected to leave Goodison Park this month, having started just five Premier League games so far this season. 

Compatriot Alex Neil is reportedly keen on signing him at Norwich, but now the Swans have entered the £8million race for his signature.

 

Alan Curtis, interim manager at the Liberty Stadium, says the 29-year-old is on his radar as he looks to bolster Swansea's attack before the January window closes.

"I think he's on the list," said Curtis. "I know he's a player available, he's an excellent player.

"Like all good players, if we can afford to bring him in, then we will be interested.

"We're still looking for that main striker. Steve is probably someone who plays just behind the main striker but someone we will be interested in."
