LIVERPOOL will make just £700,000 from Jonjo Shelvey's move to Newcastle.
Shelvey, 23, left Swansea in a £12million deal to join Newcastle yesterday and was unveiled to the Toon Army at half-time in their 3-3 draw with Manchester United last night.
Swansea signed Shelvey from Liverpool for £5m in July 2013 and it was thought the Reds inserted a 30 per cent sell-on clause if the England midfielder left the Liberty Stadium.
However, the Liverpool Echo claim the clause was actually 10 per cent of any transfer profit.
