NORWICH will attempt to sign Dwight Gayle as they attempt to ensure they remain in the Premier League.

Norwich turn to Crystal Palace striker after missing out on £10m man
Dwight Gayle has made only four Premier League starts this season

Manager Alex Neil was frustrated last week after the Canaries attempted to contact Benik Afobe over a move to Carrow Road.
But their calls went unanswered and the former Wolves striker completed a £10million move to Premier League rivals Bournemouth on Sunday.
With the Canaries just three places above the relegation zone and top-scorer Nathan Redmond with just four goals to his name, Neil is in desperate need of a player to lift the side out of danger.

With Lewis Grabban having left Norwich to join Afobe at Bournemouth, Neil is now left with just Dieumerci Mbokani, Cameron Jerome and Kyle Lafferty.
Between them the trio have just six league goals this season, and now the Mirror are reporting that Norwich have identified Palace outcast Gayle as the perfect foil to reinvigorate their attacking line.

But despite the £8million received from the Grabban deal, Norwich are keen to negotiate a loan deal for Gayle.
However, Palace will reportedly only sell the striker in the January window, meaning Norwich could be forced to make the move a permanent one.
