NAPOLI are ready to up their bid for Newcastle star Moussa Sissoko, according to reports.
The Serie A outfit have identified the 26-year-old midfielder as one of their top transfer targets, having already made contact with Newcastle about a January switch.
It has been reported that the Magpies have already rejected a bid believed to be in the region of £12million for the Frenchman.
This has seen Magpies boss Steve McClaren slap a £26.6million transfer fee on the head of the wanted midfielder as he bids to ward off interest from interested parties.
However, despite the increased fee, talkSPORT claim Napoli are readying a second bid.
Sissoko has stated that he wants to be playing in the Champions League and a move to Napoli could perhaps fulfil this ambition, with the club currently sitting top of the league table and on their way to securing a spot in Europe's elite competition for next season.
Paris Saint-Germain are still big admirers of the midfielder and the interest from Italy may encourage them to make an approach of their own.
Sissoko has made 22 Premier League appearances so far this season and has racked up five assists.
