MANCHESTER UNITED are preparing a record-breaking £140million bid for Neymar, according to reports.
Neymar reportedly has a £140million release clause
French publication Le 10 Sport claim the Red Devils will match the Barcelona star's release clause, believed to stand at £140m.The report adds the Brazil international was a prime target for United last summer.And it's understood Louis van Gaal will be pulling out all the stops to make the deal happen this time around.Neymar has been in fine form this season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists in 15 league games.And the 23-year-old has also been shortlisted for the FIFA Ballon d'Or award in recognition of his achievements at Barca.However, despite this the former Santos player is yet to sign a new deal with the Catalan side as contract talks continue to roll on."We're talking about my renewal. I'm optimistic. But I don't know what will happen," he said last month.Neymar is under contract with Barcelona until 2018, and it's understood he may be stalling in order to get himself a more lucrative deal.
