MANCHESTER UNITED are prepared to pay around £48million to sign Edinson Cavani, according to reports in Italy.

The Uruguayan hitman has been linked with a move to the Premier League fon several occasions.
Since joining Paris Saint Germain in 2013, the striker has scored 69 goals in 120 games despite playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But manager Laurent Blanc admitted recently that talks were held with Cavani over his behaviour.
And according to Italian outlet Tuttosport, United are willing to pay £48.4m (64m euros) for the 28-year-old.
The report claims United will use the money from their huge Adidas sponsorship deal and the new TV broadcasting contract to fund the move.
