FELIPE ANDERSON will not be joining Manchester United this month, according to reports.
The Brazilian is a long-term target of United boss Louis van Gaal and has been linked with a £36.7million switch to Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old struck 10 goals in Serie A last season for Lazio as they finished third in the league.
His agent reportedly met with United officials in England to discuss a move last week as Van Gaal seeks to bolster his attack.
And Anderson hinted he could leave Italy during the current transfer window earlier in the week.
He told Sky Italia: "I do not know if I will stay in January.
"I am concentrated only on my work and doing well here. I do not know what will happen."
But the BBC claim the playmaker will now not be heading to Old Trafford this month despite United's struggles in front of goal.
The report adds that if the Red Devils do sign anyone, Van Gaal is more likely to try and fill the left-back berth created by injuries to Marcos Rojo and Luke Shaw.
