Man Utd Transfer News: One in, one out, £60m move breaks down, loan deal agreed

Manchester United are considering using David de Gea as bait to land Gareth Bale, according to reports.

De Gea was on the brink of joining Real Madrid in the summer, but a move collapsed on deadline day.

Bale has been tipped to make a dramatic return to the Premier League, with Chelsea also vying for his services.

But according to French news outlet Le 10 Sport, United are hoping to use Real's interest in De Gea to seal a deal for Bale.

United have seen talks break down over a move for Sadio Mane, according to reports.

The Southampton forward has been a long-standing target for Louis van Gaal, as he is keen to add more pace and fluidity to his attack.

 

With Mane's wage demands of £120,000 a week, a potential deal would cost upwards of £60m.

But the Daily Mail claim Saints have told United they will only listen to offers for Mane in the summer.

Adnan Januzaj has returned to Old Trafford after his loan deal at Borussia Dortmund was cut short.

 

The Red Devils have recalled Januzaj due to a lack of game time at Dortmund, and his return will help Van Gaal who has a number of players on the treatment table.

The 20-year-old raised speculation of a return when he attended a Premier League game at Old Trafford over Christmas.

Januzaj is contracted with the Red Devils until 2018.
