NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.
Benfica are prepared to lose Renato Sanches to Manchester United on transfer deadline day, manager Rui Vitoria has claimed.
"This situation is not difficult for us. If things happen, they happen. We all know that's the way it is,” he told SportTV.
“There is no drama about all this. The team is very stable and that helps dealing with speculation like this."
Sanches is contracted with Benfica until 2021 and is thought to have a buy-out clause of around £60million.
United could also use deadline day to make a bid for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, who has been linked with a move.
The Mirror revealed yesterday the Red Devils have scouted him on at least four occasions and Louis van Gaal is keen to bolster his defensive options.
The Dutchman is currently without a first-team left-back following injuries to Luke Shaw and Ashley Young.
Real Madrid are poised to snap up United target Marquinhos, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Paris Saint-Germain defender was linked with a move to Old Trafford after falling out of favour at the Parc des Princes.
However, it’s claimed Real see the young Brazilian as a long-term replacement for Pepe, who turns 33 next month.
