Real Madrid back for David De Gea

Real Madrid have made David De Gea their top transfer target this summer, according to reports.
The Spanish giants were staring down the barrel of an 18-month transfer ban for dealings with underage players which would have stopped any summer transfer plans.
However, they will be allowed to sign players after this season is over after the decision was taken to postpone the suspension until the appeal has been heard.
And the Sunday People are claiming that De Gea’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has received confirmation that Madrid will once again try to sign De Gea.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper started his career in Madrid albeit at Atletico and has been long-linked with a return to Spain.
And now Madrid are said to be lining up a £23million bid for De Gea with a £6.5m signing-on fee to ‘apologise’ for the deal for him which fell apart last summer.
But Louis van Gaal will be desperate to hang onto one of the world’s best goalkeepers who has been one of his best players during the Dutchman’s tenure.

But Spurs are desperate to hang onto their two star England internationals and Mauricio Pochettino is said to believe he will build a side more successful than United.
The two are both tied to long-term contracts at White Hart Lane as well, meaning chairman Daniel Levy will need to be offered a monster deal if he is to part with the players.

Carrick open to Old Trafford exit

Michael Carrick may consider leaving Manchester United at the end of the season when his contract expires.

The former West Ham and Tottenham midfielder joined United in 2006 and has made more than 400 appearances for the club.
But his current deal is up at the end of the season and he is yet to sign a new one at Old Trafford.
The Sun claim he is in high demand with offers coming in from the Premier League and from further afield.

Both Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain were reportedly keen last summer but Carrick was happy to stay.
But now free to discuss pre-contract terms with clubs, both may renew their interest in Carrick.
