MANCHESTER CITY will look to sign Chelsea's Eden Hazard in the summer.
The 25-year-old, valued at £80million, has also been linked with a move to European heavyweights Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
But according to The Sun on Sunday, Belgium team-mates Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne will play a key role in persuading Hazard to join them at the Etihad.
Chelsea could struggle to keep hold of Hazard in the summer as the Premier League champions sit 14th in the table and in danger of not qualifying for next season's Champions League.
However, Hazard's father and agent Thierry claims his son is not looking for a move away and has blamed his son's poor form on a couple of injuries.
"Eden is completely focused on Chelsea," he told Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
"Even with Chelsea he still has ambition. Winning a title might be hard, but finishing in the top three is still possible."
"Eden now has two injuries in quick succession. I am convinced that his current groin injury related to the hip injury he sustained earlier this season.
"These injuries happen because he plays a lot of games. Eden plays a kind of football where you have to be one hundred per cent.
"Therefore I hope that he takes the time to hit top form again. He is at an age that he must organise his season and his games wisely."
