LOUIS VAN GAAL says he has more than one leader in his squad after Wayne Rooney was credited with initiating Manchester United's fightback against Liverpool last weekend.
Rooney was heard berating his team-mates at half-time at Anfield.
He then scored the winner for the Red Devils when he reacted first to a Marouane Fellaini header that came back off the crossbar to finish.
And discussing his side's turnaround at Anfield, Van Gaal stressed he has players dedicated to the United cause.
“Not only Wayne Rooney is doing that, there are several players doing that," Van Gaal said.
"And that is what I want because the players are self responsible and it is not only the manager which is why I have made this approach to the players.
"Responsibility for the result and commitment for the result is very important and that they are showing.”
United host Southampton tomorrow (3pm) knowing they can regain fourth place in the Premier league if results go their way.
