Louis van Gaal's Manchester United face Swansea this afternoon

United went into their clash with this afternoon without a win in their last eight games.
Pressure is mounting on Van Gaal to turn things around as the club slip away from the Premier League’s top four spots.
Some of the players themselves are reportedly expecting Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone to replace the Dutchman.

But Van Gaal explained in his pre-game programme notes at Old Trafford that he is ready for the fight.
"The last year was one full of mixed emotions and we did not finish 2015 on a high as we’d have hoped,” Van Gaal wrote.
"When you have not won for a number of games, the players’ confidence is naturally low, so the support from the stands gives the team that extra boost.
"The good news for 2016 is that we are in a better place in terms of injuries.
“Sadly we still have a few long-term injuries in Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia and Marcos Rojo.
“But the good news is that all three are progressing well."

Van Gaal ahead of Swansea’s visit that he would look to sign a new striker in the January transfer window to help inspire United in front of goal.
The boss also revealed his regret at offloading their forward talents last summer without adequately replacing them.
