NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you all the latest transfer news coming from Anfield.
Former Liverpool winger John Barnes expects to see 'late negotiations' with Shakhtar Donetsk for Brazilian forward Alex Teixeira before the window shuts.
Express Sport understands the Reds have had two bids rejected already for the 26-year-old, who has 26 goals this term, with the latest standing at £28million.
“I would be wary of matching Shakhtar Donetsk’s massive valuation of him (£53m)," Barnes told Titanbet. "But I can see late negotiations between the clubs happening.”
Meanwhile, Goal claim Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski has set his sights on a move to Liverpool in the summer despite also attracting interest from Manchester United.
The 21-year-old has impressed this season with two goals and five assists for Empoli, where he's currently on a season-long loan from Serie A rivals Udinese.
Zielinski is reportedly not keen on returning to Udinese when at the end of the season, but favours a move to Anfield over Old Trafford.
And finally, Italian news outlet Calciomercato claim Chelsea are preparing a move for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, who has a reported valuation of £45m.
The 23-year-old Spaniard, who has five goals and as many assists this season, has also been linked with Premier League rivals Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.
Chelsea's interim manager Guus Hiddink has already signed striker Alexandre Pato on loan this month, but it's understood the Londoners are also looking for a long-term option up front.
