Liverpool could struggle to sign Alex Teixeira before deadline day.
The Reds have already thought to have had a £24.5million bid rejected, with Shakhtar Donetsk unwilling to accept less than £38m for the Brazilian.
But leading bookmaker Sky Bet have priced the Reds at 13/8 to sign Teixeira before deadline day, while Shakhtar are almost odds on at 8/11 to keep him.
Jurgen Klopp has yet to launch a bid for Schalke defender Joel Matip.
Reports in Germany surfaced yesterday claiming a £24m bid had been lodged for the 24-year-old.
The Daily Mirror however claim an offer hasn’t been made, and the Reds will wait until the summer before making a move.
