NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you all the latest transfer news coming from Anfield.
Liverpool have reportedly had a £10million bid rejected for Barcelona's back-up goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
That is according to The Independent, who claim the Catalan giants have demanded the Reds increase their bid to their valuation of £20m.
The Germany international has managed just four La Liga appearances this term and compatriot Jurgen Klopp is thought to have promised him more game time at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Barcelona forward Luis Suarez admits he would only play for former club Liverpool if he were ever to return to the Premier League.
"You never know what will happen in the future," he said to ESPN. "If I was to return to England, it would be to play for Liverpool - not for any other team."
He added: "I have missed the fans. Everyone that has played for Liverpool knows how important the supporters are. They know that they are in my heart.”
And finally, Mark Schwarzer claims there is no chance of Liverpool signing Leicester team-mate and fellow goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel this month.
“I can’t see Leicester allowing him to leave, particularly at this time of the season,” Schwarzer said on Schmeichel. “I just see it as impossible.
“Maybe at the end of the season we’ll see what happens at the club, but I just can’t see Leicester letting Kasper go.”
