KOLO TOURE and Mamadou Sakho face very late fitness tests to be ready for Liverpool's Capital One Cup clash with Stoke tomorrow night, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
The defensive duo both played in the Reds' epic 5-4 win at Norwich on Saturday.
They have each recovered from individual knocks during the winter - a boost for Klopp during a spell in which Dejan Lovren, Martin Skrtel and Joe Gomez have been out with injuries.
But the manager was unable to confirm the pair's selection for tomorrow's semi-final second leg against the Potters at Anfield (7.45pm), while Nathaniel Clyne is also a risk as the injuries mount up.
“Dejan after three weeks trained yesterday, a complete session. That was good," Klopp said.
“We’ll have to see in the next 24 hours what’s up with Kolo and Mama (Sakho) because Steven (Caulker) can’t play.
“Clyney got a knock, he’s a really tough boy. I think we should leave him out of training and leave him over night.
“We have only (Jon Flanagan). We love Flanno. But he’s been out a long time. But 90 minutes is not the best thing."
“I think nothing else, no serious things.”
