SAUL NIGUEZ's move to Manchester United could be back on despite his reluctance to leave Atletico Madrid.

Is this the big clue Man United are close to landing this Atletico Madrid star?

The midfielder is one of Louis van Gaal's top January targets as he looks to find the best solution in the middle of the park.
Age is catching up with Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger while the United boss appears unconvinced by both Ander Herrera and Morgan Schneiderlin.
And the 21-year-old Spaniard has been earmarked as a successor to Carrick after impressing for Atletico this season.

The Spain under-21 star has a £33million buyout clause, but according to bookmakers bwin United could make a push this month.
"After leaking three goals last night, Manchester United and Louis van Gaal will be dipping their feet in to the market and have targeted Saul Niguez as the man to keep it tight in the midfield," a bwin statement read.
"However due to a surge in big bets over night on the Atletico player, bwin has been forced to cut Niguez's odds from a whopping 16/1 to 4/1."

However both he and his father have insisted he wants to stay put in La Liga.
"My biggest dream is to stay at Atletico Madrid for life,” Saul said earlier this week.
“We’ve shown that we can fight for the La Liga title and even win it, but it is very even and any team can give you a scare, so we do not look beyond each game.
“I’m going through a great moment and it shows on the field.
"I am happy for the goals, but mostly because the team is doing well.”
And his father then added: “At the moment the boy is happy at the club and doesn’t want to leave. He has the confidence of the club.”
