RIO FERDINAND doesn't doubt Olivier Giroud's goalscoring record.

Giroud's goal record is impressive for Arsenal but there's something missing - Ferdinand
Olivier Giroud scored twice in Arsenal's 3-3 draw with Liverpool

But he does think there is something missing when it comes to him being the complete striker.
Giroud now has 18 goals for the season in all competitions with his standout moment coming in their 3-0 away win over Olympiakos last month as he scored a hat-trick to ensure the Gunners qualified for the group stages of the Champions League.

Rio Ferdinand doesn't doubt Giroud's ability to score goals

And while Ferdinand is convinced the 29-year-old has plenty of goals to offer, he still needs to improve other areas of his game.
"I don't think we've ever doubted that he can score goals," Ferdinand told BT Sport.

"When we've been watching him in the Champions League and in the Premier League, no one here on the panel I've sat with has doubted his potential to score goals.
"His goal record is great. It's just the other parts that add to him being a great player that you'd like to see, and sometimes that can be frustrating because what he does offer is a goalscorer."
