GARETH BALE's move to Manchester United is more than just speculation, claims Harry Redknapp.
The Wales international was linked with a move to Old Trafford over the summer with Express Sport revealing two £100m bids for the attacker.
And following Rafa Benitez's sacking this week, The Telegraph reported the former Tottenham star was 'devastated' and could seek a £150million return to the Premier League.
It's not the first time this season Bale's happiness has come into question at The Bernabeu as the 26-year-old was on the receiving end of a fan backlash last year.
And according to his former boss Redknapp, a move to United 'could happen' and would instantly boost Louis van Gaal's chances of winning the Premier League.
"Gareth Bale leaving Real Madrid for Manchester United could happen. I just get a feeling that somebody over here is driving that move," he told the London Evening Standard.
"It keeps coming up and it wouldn't surprise me, given he's never truly settled there and can't speak the language very well.
"If he went to United this month, they would suddenly have a realistic chance of winning the title because he could go there and score 15 goals in the second half of the season.
"There aren't many players in the world who can have that kind of impact but Gareth is one of them. "I don't know if he will come back but the United move makes a lot of sense, and all that talk has to be coming from somewhere."
