Manager Jurgen Klopp turned to Caulker in an attempt to bolster his defensive options.
An approach was made to Queens Park Rangers for Caulker, 24, who has spent the first half of the season on loan at Southampton.
And Liverpool managed to register the paperwork before today’s 12 noon cut off which means Caulker can feature against Arsene Wenger’s Premier League leaders.

England defender Caulker’s last appearance ironically came in Liverpool’s 6-1 Capital One Cup victory over Southampton back in November.
The centre-back, 24, will provide cover for Klopp who is hoping to have Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho available for after injury.
Dejan Lovren is out, although could yet feature against Manchester United on Sunday, while Martin Skrtel faces a longer rehabilitation from a hamstring problem.

Klopp had looked at Neven Subotic at former club Borussia Dortmund when the injury crisis first erupted, but the Bundesliga side have blocked his departure.
Caulker can play in the Europa League, if Liverpool chose to register him, and the FA Cup although not the replay with Exeter City because he would not have been registered for the original tie.
Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was keen on Caulker, who was previously at Swansea.
