Chelsea star locked in three-way January transfer battle as £20m exit looms

RAMIRES is close to leaving Chelsea after almost six years at the club, according to reports.

The 28-year-old Brazil international midfielder has played just 28 minutes of Premier League football since Guus Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge. 

And the Daily Mail claim the Blues are close to selling Ramires with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain showing an interest in the midfielder. 

 

While Globo Esporte report that Borussia Dortmund have enquired about the availability of the player with the German outfit eyeing him as a potential replacement for Liverpool target Ilkay Gundogan.

Ramires recently signed a four-year contract extension until 2019 at Stamford Bridge, but this has not deterred clubs from showing an interest.

 

The Chelsea favourite, who joined from Portuguese side Benfica in 2010 for around £18million, is likely to command a fee upwards of £20m

It is expected that the sale of Ramires would free up more transfer funds for the defending Premier League champions as they set about a rebuilding programme.

Ramires has made 12 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season and has scored two goals.
