Callum McGregor is confident that Celtic can win the domestic treble

The midfielder helped his side stretch their lead at the top of the table to six points with a weekend win over St Johnstone.
Celtic’s next three games could define their season – the League Cup semi-final against Ross County on Sunday is followed by a Premiership clash at Aberdeen and a Scottish Cup last-16 game with East Kilbride.
Ronny Deila’s dream of a domestic clean sweep will be on the line but with his side extending their winning streak in 2016 to five matches, McGregor reckons they have found their rhythm at the perfect moment.

He said: “It’s always difficult to win the treble but we have the players who are capable of doing it.
“In the last few games we have played some really good stuff. We’ve scored a lot of goals and been decent defensively. We need to keep that winning mentality and that hunger to keep hitting the back of the net.
“Hopefully that will take us over the line in the coming weeks.

“We have the whole package. We’ve looked solid and we have the experience of Scott Brown to come back in as well, which will make us even better.
“Everyone has been pulling their weight of late and we’ve looked really good. We are comfortable with the treble talk. When you are at a big club there are big expectations.
“We have to try to win every game and see where that takes us. That has to be the focus. The cup ties are one-offs so you have to be at your best on the day.”
