SERGE GNABRY is closing in on a January loan move to Championship outfit Brighton, according to reports.

The 20-year-old midfielder has reportedly returned to Arsenal after a frustrating loan spell at West Brom. 
Gnabry has secured just 12 minutes of first-team football under Baggies boss Tony Pulis and Arsenal are believed to be .
And The Sun claim that Brighton are looking to secure a loan move for Gnabry until the end of the season. 
 
Brighton boss Chris Hughton is keen to freshen up his attacking options after their promotion bid took a hit in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Pulis insists the reason why Gnabry has failed to secure regular game time at West Brom is because of injury. 
“He’s not played as many games as he would have wanted to play," said Pulis. 
“But he’s been good to have around the place.
 
“He was very unfortunate because he came here injured and I think people forget that.
“Once he was fit, fitting him into that team and what we were trying to do was difficult and then he picked up another injury so he’s had a bit of a topsy turvy start.
“For the kid, if you speak to him, he wants to play week in week out.
“It’s very difficult to guarantee someone that week in week out.

“He picked up an injury before he came and he was a little bit weighty, a bit heavy and it took us a while to get him into that mode.”
