ARSENAL are closing in on the signing of Nigerian U17 duo Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, according to reports.
Kelechi Nwakali Samuel Chukwueze are closing in on moves to Arsenal |
Nwakali and Chukwueze impressed in helping Nigeria win last year's FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile.
The 17-year-old Nwakali, who captained the side and has spent time on trial at Manchester City, was named player of the tournament while 16-year-old Chukwueze shone on the wing.
And The Times claim Arsene Wenger is close to securing a deal for the duo.
Bayern Munich have also been tracking the teenagers but the Gunners look set to beat the German giants to the pair.
Arsenal are set to pay a minimum combined fee of £3million for Nwakali and Chukwueze.
The deal is set to be completed before the end of the window, and AfricanFootball.com quote a source saying: "The players’ visas to England are being processed and a party of seven including their legal guardians are expected this month in London to finalise their transfer to Arsenal."
