APPLE has acknowledged a battery life glitch in its iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus and is now believed to be working on a fix.
If you have noticed problems with the battery life metre freezing or not updating correcting as your smartphone battery drains – you are not alone.
A glitch with the battery life indicator has been incorrectly informing some iPhone owners that they have more power left than they actually do.
Apple has acknowledged the problem, which appears to only affect the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
According to the US technology firm, the bizarre battery life issue comes up when you switch time zones, either manually or automatically.
If you notice your iPhone suffering with the issue, Apple recommends restarting the phone, then navigating to Settings>General>Date & Time – and the switch on Set Automatically.
This isn’t a permanent fix, Apple has admitted. If you notice the battery percentage getting stuck again, contact Apple Support for more help.
Apple does not indicate when a permanent solution will be rolled out.
Instead, it simply states that it is "investigating the cause and a solution."
The news comes after mobile firm EE slashed £100 off the price of Apple's latest smartphone.
Apple's iPhone 6S was recently voted the world's fastest phone, beating its rivals by over 40% in speed tests.
The new processor inside the iPhone is the quickest Apple has ever produced and is around 90% faster than the original iPhone.
