Thierry Henry: Chelsea players to blame for Jose Mourinho's sacking
Thierry Henry has put the blame on Chelsea's players

THIERRY HENRY has blamed Chelsea's players for Jose Mourinho's sacking.

Mourinho was sent packing by Chelsea this afternoon after a string of bad results, wracking up nine Premier League defeats already this season.
And Arsenal great Henry has revealed his sympathy for the manager, claiming the players were to blame.

“It’s kind of a mixed reaction because I was kind of expecting it because Chelsea needed to change something and spark a reaction from the players.
“But also on the contrary, they’re sacking the best manager in their history and also one of the best ever in the game.

“I think you have to hold the players accountable for what’s been happening recently.
"But you can’t sack all the players so the thing teams usually do is sack the manager.”

Guus Hiddink is the bookies' favourite to take charge at Stamford Bridge with betting now suspended on the Dutchman.
The 69-year-old was previously the caretaker boss in 2009 following Luiz Felipe Scolari's sacking.
