NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT have picked our team of the season so far - with only one player from each club allowed.
Jack Butland - A genuine contender for Joe Hart's position as England's No 1. Butland has made a string of fine saves which mean Stoke's defence is one of the meanest in England.
Allan Nyom – The Cameroonian has been a ever-present in Watford's well-drilled defensive machine this season. Never shy going forward but equally composed at the back.
Toby Alderweireld - Showed he was a classy operator at Southampton last season and is justifying why Spurs fought so hard to sign him in the summer. Has formed an excellent partnership with Jan Vertonghen.
Chris Smalling – The England centre-back has developed into a leader for Manchester United in one of few areas which has been positive for Louis van Gaal. Commanding and strong, the 26-year-old is becoming the player Sir Alex Ferguson envisaged he would be.
Brendan Galloway – Deputising for Leighton Baines is no easy feat given the quality he provides but the 19-year-old has adjusted to the Premier League seamlessly. The early signs suggests he could be England's left-back for years to come.
Cheikhou Kouyate - A powerful figure in the West Ham midfield. His energy and strength came to the fore on the opening weekend of the season in the shock but deserved 2-0 win over Arsenal.
Yohan Cabaye – Desperate to play for France at the European Championships, the midfielder made the bold decision to leave Paris Saint Germain and move to south London in the summer. But he has quickly showed his class giving the Selhurst Park supporters a calibre of player they haven’t seen for quite a while.
Sadio Mane – There was much surprise and bewilderment when it emerged Manchester United were keen on landing the pacey winger in the summer. But with his speed and trickery, he would be a major asset to any top club. Three goals and six assists is a modest total for Southampton this season, so he will need to do more to convince his sceptics.
Mesut Ozil – 15 assists in 16 games. The most dangerous playmaker on the continent. The German is silencing his doubters with every inch-perfect through ball he makes. When he makes it look that easy, it’s a wonder why he didn’t do it more often before.
Kevin De Bruyne – Another player who has had his doubters. Some argued that if Chelsea got rid of him, can he really be that good? But the Belgian has settled back into life in the Premier League with ease. He is fighting for the main stage with several big egos at City, but so far De Bruyne is proving to be worth every penny.
Jamie Vardy – What is there left to say about the Premier League’s top scorer? Nobody could have predicted the season he has had. And with every match he is showing that his performances are not a fluke. Leicester must do everything they can to keep hold of him.
