Joe Hart returns from a muscle injury sustained in Turin against Juventus, meaning Willy Caballero returns to the bench as City make a trip with which they have struggled in recent years.
David Silva made his comeback from injury against Hull City in the Capital One Cup, but starts once again alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, with the latter on the bench in midweek.
However, Manuel Pellegrini's side are without Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero after they joined Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta, and Samir Nasri on the injury list.
 
Stoke make four changes from the side that beat Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup, with John Walters, Peter Crouch, Marco Van Ginkel, and Marc Wilson missing out.
Bojan returns to lead the line while Ryan Shawcross returns from suspension in the centre of defence.
