JUVENTUS are favourites to sign Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas this January as they prepare to lose star midfielder Paul Pogba, according to reports.
Fabregas, 28, has lost the support of Chelsea fans, who see him as one of the instigators of Jose Mourinho's sacking earlier this month.
Fans booed the midfielder during Chelsea's 3-1 home win over Sunderland, vocally blaming him and striker Diego Costa for Mourinho's exit.
He was left out of the travelling squad that earned a 0-0 draw at Manchester United yesterday because of illness and has reportedly attracted the eye of two Serie A giants.
League leaders Inter Milan are said to be preparing an £18million bid for the Spaniard, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
But they will struggle to see off interest in the World Cup winner from Juventus, who are expected to have cash to spend in January.
Juve are expected to sell star midfielder Paul Pogba to Barcelona next month.
Barca's year-long transfer ban will be lifted on 4 January and manager Luis Enrique is set to make up for lost time in the market.
Barca wanted to sign Pogba, 22, in the summer but Juve held firm on their reluctance to sell.
Fabregas has reportedly been targeted as a direct replacement for the France international and officials in Turin, realistic of their chance of keeping Pogba, are expected to make an approach as they strive to win a fifth Italian championship on the bounce.
