Aston Villa boss Remi Garde is pleased with how Jack Grealish has responded in training

REMI GARDE has hailed Jack Grealish for responding in just the right way following his punishment for his recent nightclub visit.

 

The Aston Villa player, 20, was banished to training with the academy side after pictures emerged of him enjoying an evening out in the wake of a 4-0 defeat at Everton a fortnight ago.

But Grealish is now back in the reckoning after Garde played him for the Under 21s in a 2-1 win over Derby on Monday.

 

"Jack is back with the group now," said the Frenchman. "I am pleased to have him back because he's an important player for the group.

"I am also pleased regarding how Jack trained over the past two weeks with the U21s. Jack is back. I am happy for that - and for the team."
