Rangers ace James Tavernier insists he is feeling no heat from Hibernian in title race

RANGERS defender James Tavernier insists he is not feeling any heat from Hibs in the title race.

The Light Blues are just three points ahead of their rivals in the battle for Championship glory and automatic promotion to the Premiership.
Rangers had the chance to move 11 points clear last month, but their defeat at Easter Road cut the deficit and Alan Stubbs’ in-form side have closed the gap further.
Tavernier, however, is taking it all in his stride.
He said: “I keep hearing people talk about the pressure but I don’t feel any at all.
“We are just doing what we normally do every week.
“We have lost once and drawn once, so it’s a great record for the season so far and good in any league.

“We think we are doing well and we will do what we normally do in this weekend’s game against Morton. We want to be aggressive and dominant on the ball.
“I’ve been asked about pressure because Hibs are on a great run, but sometimes people forget that we are too.
“We don’t really think about what Hibs are doing and what pressure is on us.
“Teams have been on good runs throughout the season and we’ve always shown up on the day and played better football.”
Rangers manager Mark Warburton has been linked with a host of jobs down south, with Swansea City the latest.
Tavernier added: “It’s not surprising to see the manager linked with other jobs. That’s what happens when you have success as a player or manager.

“That’s football, but the gaffer is dedicated to the Rangers job. We have the backing of him and we keep going.”
