Olivier Giroud hat-trick sends Arsenal to the Champions League knockout stages

ARSENAL have done what Manchester United couldn't by progressing from Group F into the Champions League knockout stages.

The Gunners travelled to the Karaiskakis Stadium knowing they needed to win either by two clear goals or by any margin of at least three goals to remain in the competition.
And Olivier Giroud got his side off to a bright start with a bullet header just before the half hour mark.
Aaron Ramsey received the ball from a brilliant Mesut Ozil reverse pass and clipped an inch-perfect cross on to the head of the towering Frenchman.
Giroud secured Arsenal's place in the last 16 with a second-half double to complete his hat-trick.
