STEVE McCLAREN insists Jurgen Klopp can deliver Liverpool their first top-flight title for 26 years.
The Newcastle head coach – whose side host the Anfield side today – recalls the style shown by the Bundesliga title-winning side Borussia Dortmund in 2011, coached by Klopp when McClaren was boss of Wolfsburg.
McClaren recalled: “When Jurgen came here I thought he would be a success. They’re title contenders, in terms of the form they’re in.”
