Marouane Fellaini: These two Man Utd heroes were the greatest I played with

MAROUANE FELLAINI has named Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney as the greatest Manchester United players he’s lined up alongside.

 

Fellaini has played with a handful of top stars since joining the Red Devils two years ago.

And he’s named a former and a current United legend as the greatest footballers he’s played with during his time at Old Trafford.

“I’ve played with some great players here. Wazza [Wayne Rooney] is a great player, Ryan Giggs too,” Fellaini told the club’s official website.

 

Fellaini, who played for United earlier in the week in an Under-21s game against Liverpool, has had the opportunity to play in the world’s best stadiums.

And besides Old Trafford, turning out for Belgium at the iconic Maracana during the 2014 World Cup remains a career highlight.

He continued: “The Maracana in Brazil at the World Cup.

 

“It was a great experience to play in a stadium with a name as famous as that and Brazil is also a great country.”

Fellaini has struggled for game time under Louis van Gaal this term, but he hasn’t forgotten his best strike.

The afro-haired Belgian named the fine individual effort he scored against West Brom last season as his best to date in a United shirt.
