DAVID DE GEA believes Manchester United were the better side during their 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford.

David De Gea made several fine saves to keep his sheet clean

The 25-year-old made a wonderful early save to deny Chelsea captain John Terry, and while United dominated possession, De Gea was called into action several times to keep the scores level.
But despite an improved performance from Louis van Gaal's side, the Red Devils failed to score for the seventh time this season, with Wayne Rooney and Ander Herrera both missing guilt-edged chances.
And it might have been worse for the Old Trafford outfit had Nemanja Matic not blasted over the bar when through one-on-one with De Gea.

However, the Spanish goalkeeper was clear in his mind as to which side produced the performance more deserving of the win.
"Both teams had chances but I think we played better than them," De Gea told BT Sport.
"We kept the ball and tried to score, but we didn't have the luck we need to win these games.
"We have to keep focused on only football and try to win the games ahead. That's the key thing."
