LOUIS VAN GAAL doubts Manchester United pair Matteo Darmian and Chris Smalling will face Bournemouth on Saturday.
Right-back Darmian (hamstring) and centre-half Smalling (groin) joined United's lengthy injury list in last night's loss to Wolfsburg.
The Red Devils already had Morgan Schneiderlin, Marcos Rojo, Wayne Rooney, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones, Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw on the treatment table.
And given United's injury troubles, Van Gaal may struggle to make up for last night's Champions League exit by delivering a victory at Bournemouth.
The Dutchman did not sound optimistic about the chances of Smalling or Darmian being fit for the trip to the south coast when he spoke after the game.
The United manager said: “Darmian has a hamstring injury and Smalling probably a groin injury. It's only happened this evening, but normally they are out for Saturday."
United currently sit third in the Premier League standings and need a win at Dean Court to keep up with leaders Leicester, Arsenal and Manchester City in the title race.
