Man United holding crunch talks over Louis van Gaal's future with Jose Mourinho ready
Louis van Gaal's future is hanging in the balance

MANCHESTER UNITED are currently in crunch talks over Louis van Gaal's future at the club's HQ.

Ed Woodward, the executive vice-chairman, went into a meeting due to finish mid afternoon.
It comes after reports that Jose Mourinho is set to take over from the Dutchman.
Express Sport understands Mourinho is ready and waiting to pounce as soon as United pull the trigger.

Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea last week and issued a statement at the weekend insisting he wanted to get straight back into management.
Yesterday reports emerged suggesting he had agreed a five-year deal to take over from Van Gaal.
And today United refused to deny the reports.

And this afternoon the Sun have reported that Woodward is chairing a meeting to discuss Van Gaal's future.
Van Gaal has overseen a run of six games without a win and United have been knocked out of the Champions League.
They dropped out of the top four after losing to Norwich at Old Trafford on Saturday - with some sections of the United fans chanting Mourinho's name.
