Louis van Gaal slammed by former Man Utd defender
Louis van Gaal has been accused of 'hindering' Manchester United's players

LOUIS VAN GAAL is 'hindering' Manchester United's high-quality players, claims former defender Danny Higginbotham.

The Red Devils were humiliated at home on Saturday by Norwich, with their third successive defeat dropping them out of the top four.
And Higginbotham believes Louis van Gaal is entirely to blame for United's current plight, accusing the Dutchman of suffocating the players with poor tactics.

“I’m not saying they’re becoming robotic but they’re doing things that are not natural to them,” he told TalkSPORT.
“They’re doing exactly what is asked of them off the pitch. When you’ve got great players in these fantastic football teams, you want to see them do some things off the cuff.

“I’m not seeing that with Manchester United at the moment and that’s the really disappointing thing.
"The biggest thing is that I’m looking at players out there and thinking to myself ‘they’re being hindered here’.

“They’re not being able to give everything that they want to give because they’re having to play a certain style but it’s to the detriment of themselves.”
Van Gaal's tenure has come under scrutiny in recent days following Chelsea's sacking of Jose Mourinho with reports suggesting the Portuguese is set to take over at Old Trafford.
